Maumee Valley Country Day School is located in Northwest Ohio, and was founded on the principles of teaching to student’s passions and not to standardized tests, and that students learn best by doing. Maumee Valley sponsors a Global Leadership Certificate that helps students analyze global issues and foster leadership skills through collaborative and creative problem solving. Maumee Valley and the University of Toledo also have joined forces to create an internship program for students that involves hands on training in computing, stimulation gaming, and 3D virtual reality. Maumee Valley has received the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy Program which is awarded to graduating seniors who demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and one other world language. Maumee Valley is a member of the Hybrid Learning Consortium, founded and directed by The Barstow School. The HLC features small classes that allow students and teachers to connect with others across the country and glove while allowing them to focus on their individual interests and passions.
