St. Anne's - Belfield School

Charlottesville, Virginia | Grades 9-12 , Co-ed | Founded in 1910

Description

For more than 100 years, St. Anne's-Belfield School has fostered an educational community that nurtures the development of advanced skills, abilities, and knowledge, supports high personal aspirations, and develops exemplary, ethical, and engaged citizens who positively impact the world. We continuously evaluate our standards to find ways to exceed them, and today we are building upon our century of success to provide even more innovative academic programs, world-class facilities, and diverse, supportive community life. St. Anne’s-Belfield is located in a bustling college town situated within driving distance of the state and nation’s capitals, Charlottesville is a stellar community no matter what measurement is used.

The Upper School experience is designed to give students the freedom of choice to cultivate curiosity, passion, and excitement while feeling safe, challenged, and known. Our Upper School builds upon more than a century of success to provide innovative academic programs, meaningful co-curricular experiences, and a diverse and supportive community. The curriculum, paired with a recently revised daily schedule, allows students to dive deeper into their learning in longer class periods and more community time for Advisory, faculty office hours, faculty collaboration, and club meetings. Many students also take advantage of this unscheduled time to complete assignments and leave their afternoons free for extra-curricular and community service options
