St. Timothy's School

Stevenson, Maryland | High School, 9-12, PG, All-girls | Founded in 1832

Description

Chartered in 1832, St. Timothy’s prepares girls to assume positions of leadership with moral focus and courage, intellectual honesty and acumen, and the confidence to act responsibly and ethically in all areas of their lives. St. Timothy’s offers a rich and highly individualized program with superb resources in athletics, arts, clubs, world affairs, and community service, capitalizing on the talents and strengths of each individual student. Baltimore is our next-door neighbor. Baltimore "aka" Charm City, is a fun, historic and quirky town, birthplace of Harriett Tubman, Babe Ruth, and the beehive hairdo. Students take regular trips to Baltimore to enjoy Harborplace, the National Aquarium, The Walters Art Gallery, The Visionary Arts Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and much more. Washington, D.C. is an hour south. Philadelphia is 2 hours away and New York City is an easy train, bus, or car ride away by 3 1/2 hours.
