The Williston Northampton School

Easthampton, Massachusetts | Grades 9-12 & PG, Co-ed | Founded in 1841

Description

Williston’s COMPASS Program is an innovative, 360-degree approach that deeply engages you and prepares you for college and life. Through four signature programs, which are interwoven into our traditional independent school curriculum, we create a rich academic and social environment that gives you the tools you need to excel and thrive. At once challenging and supportive, COMPASS is designed to meet you where you are along an intentional, individualized path to realize your full potential at Williston, in college, and beyond. Williston's location in the eclectic arts town of Easthampton places it just a short walk from a host of appealing restaurants and bakeries, renovated mill buildings-turned-studios, bookstores, a rail-trail bicycle path, and more.

Our rigorous academic environment offers a balance of structure and freedom, designed to help students develop excellent study skills, writing, and critical thinking, along with an ambitious intellectual curiosity. Our class sizes are small (average size of 12) and our course selection is large (155 courses with 49 designated as Honors or APs)—so you can think big!
